Fourth of July Fireworks


At my local fireworks show, I would see many people selling food or promoting a business. Since the Fourth of July is a celebration of the United States independence, I thought the troops should be recognized. With this in mind, I worked with Operation Homefront, an organization that supports the troops and their families. In 2011, 2012, and 2014, I raised awareness, collected donations, and had everyone sign their name on a banner. After the event the banner was sent to troops stationed in Afghanistan and the $350 collected each year was used to help military families.
